Animal Cancer Foundation is pleased to bring the world-renowned Alda Center for Communicating Science Professional Development Program to veterinary and comparative oncologists at the 2022 Veterinary Cancer Society Conference this October in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Alda Center helps scientists and researchers build meaningful connections and trust with people, whoever and wherever they are, to bring science within everyone’s reach. Participants learn to build connections between their research and other people’s backgrounds and experiences by developing active listening and close attention to non-verbal communication based on social science research.
In a special plenary workshop session 32 comparative oncology researchers will receive additional interactive training in the Alda Method and join researchers in over 40 states and 8 other countries who have been trained in the method, including researchers from Cornell University, the Environmental Protection Agency, Harvard University, the National Institutes of Health, the Nature Conservancy and hundreds of others.
ACF is looking forward to advancing the research of these participants.
